I'm Francesca Fiore, founder of F Squared Futures.

My focus throughout my 20+ year career has been creating the structural conditions that determine whether institutions can adapt, and whether those they serve can succeed.

I have worked at the intersection of strategy, program development, accreditation, and partnership cultivation in the higher education, nonprofit, and health and human services sectors: writing successful grant proposals, designing workforce programs, building and implementing strategic plans, and navigating accreditation cycles.

I started F Squared Futures because of what I learned doing the work. The projects that determine an institution's future almost always arrive on top of everything else, and rarely get the focused attention they need to succeed. What helps most is a partner who understands how an institution actually runs, with the distance to see what those inside it cannot. F Squared Futures is built to be that partner: a practice that brings senior-level capacity to the work, with the same investment in the outcome as the leader carrying it.

I hold an Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.P.A. from New York University, and an M.A. and B.A. in Economics from Hunter College. I am also trained in strategic foresight through the Institute for the Future's Foresight Essentials program.

My career has been devoted to developing and scaling programs that promote educational access and economic opportunity, and I continue to do pro bono work for nonprofits whose missions align with that commitment. I have secured over seventeen million dollars in competitive funding, including federal grants from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Labor. I have managed budgets exceeding twenty million dollars and built programs serving thousands of participants each year.

When I am not working, I am a beekeeper and a Master Naturalist trainee. Living systems are the part of the world I find most interesting, and they shape how I think about institutional ones.
